To login go here (there’s also a link in the footer of every page on the site to the admin interface). Your username is the same as your athena login, aka the part of your email before (but not including) the @MIT.edu. If you do not know (or forgot) your password you can reset it from the login page. The site will use your MIT e-mail for authentication unless you have changed your e-mail in your profile.
One of our goals is to highlight the sometimes converging and sometimes diverging research we all do. A portion of the site focuses on who we are. Each student has a page that archives post and comments you’ve made on this site. Once you’ve made either a post or a comment, a link to that page shows up at the bottom left. That page also shows some info from your profile. You can update your profile via the wordpress admin interface. Click on profile on the left sidebar. You can put a link to an external site, a bio,and/or a photo. Most importantly, we need you to put in your first and lastname and change your “display name publicly as” to your real time. If there is an issue where you really don’t want your name on the internet, ok, but otherwise we are really hoping that this site can actually represent the real people that represent the group.
Only students in the DCG can post comments. You can use many non-layout html tags in comments. Most usefully, you can use the <a> tag to create links
You can subscribe to the rss feed for posts after clicking this link and the rss feed for comments after clicking this link (also at the bottom of the page). Many browsers can display the feed and then provide an option to subscribe though an e-mail application (gmail webmail lets you subscribe there too).
